Hungaroring
The Hungaroring F1 race track is located 19 km from the centre of Budapest, along the M3 motorway, on the outskirts of Mogyoród village.
The track is located in a natural valley and is surrounded by 50 hectares of grandstand in the form of a ring. These natural features mean that 80 per cent of the track can be seen from any point on the spectator area. This is why it is called the flat plate, as spectators sit on the edge of the imaginary plate and watch the races from there.
Track visit:Secrets of a racetrack - behind the scenes
This could also be the motto of the programme, as the track visits give Hungarian and foreign individuals and groups a taste of what a Formula 1 circuit looks like before or after the Grand Prix weekend, the main bases, where it is located and how the race management works. Visitors can take a walk around the area behind the pits (the paddock) or take a picture on the podium while learning about the history of the track. In the sculpture park near the main entrance, they can "meet" the Formula 1 world champions of past years - see their statues and, if they are lucky, take a tour or two of the circuit in the tour bus carrying the group.
