The National Botanical Garden is the country's richest collection of living plants and the most important botanical garden in the country.
The Romantic Landscape Garden, a protected monument and nature reserve for nearly 200 years, is the richest scientific collection of living plants in the country. A fascinating sight in all seasons on 27 hectares. So far, 62 species of nesting birds have been recorded, 22 species of fish live in the ponds and 73 species of molluscs (snails and mussels) have found a home here. Year-round, visitors can enjoy annual plant displays, atmospheric walking paths, exotic greenhouse plants, a geranium and rose display, interactive exhibition halls and many more of nature's little wonders.
